The Lenovo ThinkPad P51 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation for CAD, rendering and engineering software. It keeps the ThinkPad chassis and keyboard, with an FHD display and Quadro graphics, and weighs from 2.55 kg.

The 7th Gen Intel Core i7-7820HQ runs at 2.9 GHz base and up to 3.9 GHz turbo, with NVIDIA Quadro M2200 4 GB graphics alongside Intel HD Graphics 630. Memory is DDR4-2400 in four SO-DIMM slots, up to 64 GB, and storage is M.2 PCIe NVMe with up to three drives. Ports include four USB 3.1 Gen 1, a Thunderbolt 3 port, HDMI 1.4b, Mini DisplayPort 1.2a and Ethernet, and the security features include a discrete TPM 2.0 chip and a palm-rest fingerprint reader on selected models.

    Sehr leistungsstarke Workstation, gut verarbeitet, und die Tastatur ist präzise. Für CAD, Simulationen und größere Dateien ist die Leistung wirklich beeindruckend, da merkt man den Unterschied zu normalen Büro-Notebooks sofort. Die Lüfter werden unter Last allerdings deutlich hörbar, und der Akku hält unter Volllast nicht lange. Die Verpackung war stabil, das Gerät kam sauber an und die Lieferung nach Deutschland verlief zügig. Ich würde es empfehlen, wenn man vor allem am Schreibtisch arbeitet und ein Netzteil in Reichweite hat. Insgesamt gerne wieder.

    bought this renewed p51 for heavy rendering and simulation and it runs way better than i expected for a mobile workstation. quadro M2200 handles my cad models with ease and the display is bright and accurate for colour checks. chassis is solid, keyboard rewards long sessions. packaging was careful with original adapter and clear warranty. delivery to al ain took 4 days. battery life is limited under load so i keep it plugged in while rendering Overall very happy with it.

    Je suis très contente de ce poste de travail mobile, je l’utilise surtout pour la conception 3D et les rendus de plans. Les performances sont très bonnes, la carte graphique tient bien la charge pour mes projets et l’écran est précis pour vérifier les couleurs. Le clavier est confortable pour de longues sessions, même si le pavé numérique prend un peu de place.

    Le ventilateur se fait entendre quand la machine travaille fort, mais avec un support adapté on est tranquille. La batterie ne tient pas longtemps sous charge, donc je garde toujours le chargeur à côté. Le boîtier est solide, il n’y a aucun jeu sur les charnières et les ports sont bien répartis sur les côtés.

    La livraison a été rapide et l’emballage était très soigné, avec un bloc d’alimentation d’origine et une garantie claire. Par rapport à un modèle neuf, la différence de prix est importante, et pour un usage professionnel c’est une très bonne affaire. Je recommande ce poste à ceux qui ont besoin de puissance en déplacement sans faire un investissement neuf. Le vendeur a répondu rapidement à mes questions, ce qui est appréciable.
