The Lenovo ThinkPad P52 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation for CAD, rendering and other design work. It has an FHD display and a swappable 90 Wh battery, and weighs from 2.45 kg for the non-touch model.
The 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H runs at 2.2 GHz base and up to 4.1 GHz turbo, with NVIDIA Quadro P2000 4 GB graphics and Intel UHD Graphics 630 in the processor. Memory is DDR4-2400 in four SO-DIMM slots, and storage is M.2 PCIe NVMe with up to three drives. Ik gebruik deze ThinkPad P52 voor mijn CAD-werk en ik ben er tot nu toe tevreden over. De Quadro-kaart rendert grote modellen snel en de ventilator blijft redelijk stil bij lichte taken. De laptop kwam goed verpakt aan in Abu Dhabi en zag er bijna nieuw uit. Het gewicht is wel fors, dus hij blijft vooral op mijn bureau staan. De batterij houdt het niet lang vol, dus ik werk meestal aan het stopcontact. Voor het geld is het een sterke machine voor ingenieurs die echt kracht nodig hebben.

honestly the thinkpad p52 is a beast for my cad work. renders are fast with the quadro card, no slowdowns on big assemblies. came to riyadh in three days, packaging was solid and the box was clean. its heavy though, you wont want to carry it around daily, more of a desk machine. battery is short, i just keep it plugged in. keyboard is still a thinkpad keyboard, which i love. lid had a scratch near the corner which was not in the photos, minor though. overall good value for an engineer who needs real power, and i’d recommend it.
