The Lenovo ThinkPad P53 is a 15.6-inch ThinkPad for demanding work such as CAD, rendering and content creation, where a dedicated NVIDIA Quadro graphics card and a six-core processor matter. It suits people who need to run heavy applications for long periods at a desk.
The 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H has six cores and twelve threads and runs up to 4.5 GHz. The NVIDIA Quadro T2000 has 4 GB of GDDR5 memory, with Intel UHD Graphics 630 in the processor. Memory is DDR4-2666 in four SO-DIMM slots, supporting up to 128 GB, and storage is M.2 2280 NVMe, with up to three drives. The Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 card supports Bluetooth 5.1, a discrete TPM 2.0 chip is fitted, and the integrated 90 Wh battery supports Rapid Charge.

Una workstation davvero potente per il lavoro di progettazione e rendering. Il processore regge bene anche con modelli complessi e lo schermo è preciso nei colori, utile per le revisioni con i clienti. Il peso si fa sentire dopo qualche ora in mano, ma è il prezzo da pagare per queste prestazioni.
La batteria è la nota dolente: con il carico della scheda grafica dura poco e bisogna quasi sempre stare vicino a una presa. Il sistema di raffreddamento lavora parecchio, con le ventole che si sentono in ufficio durante i render più lunghi. Per il resto la tastiera è comoda e il touchpad risponde bene.
La consegna a Dubai è arrivata con un giorno di ritardo rispetto alla stima, senza grossi problemi. Il computer era pulito e ben confezionato. Lo consiglio a chi lavora spesso in movimento e ha bisogno di potenza reale, a patto di accettare un po’ di compromessi su peso e autonomia. Lo consiglierei comunque a chi ha bisogno di potenza vera in mobilità, anche solo per le revisioni sul campo. Anche la consegna è stata precisa e il pacco ben protetto.

Krachtige machine maar het toestel had een kleine kras bij het scharnier en het duurde elf dagen voor het bij mij was. De accu is korter dan ik verwachtte voor een werkstation, dus ik hou de lader altijd in de buurt. Alles werkt, en dat is het belangrijkste, maar de verzending en de staat bij aankomst waren niet wat ik had gehoopt. Ik zou hem wel weer kopen, maar dan met een iets langere accu en een betere verpakking. Voor de rest is het een sterke machine. Heel tevreden dus.

This ThinkPad P53 is a beast for rendering and simulation. The Core i7 is quick under load and the 15 inch screen is accurate for design work. Heavy to carry, but thats the deal with a workstation. Battery drops fast under the Quadro load so i keep it plugged in when i can.

الجهاز قوي ومناسب للهندسة والتصميم، والشاشة واضحة زين. التوصيل للرياض تأخر يومين بس الجهاز وصل بحالة جيدة. الكيبورد مريحة للشغل الطويل والجهاز ما يتعب يدي. الحرارة تزيد لما أشغل برامج التصميم الثقيلة، بس ما يوقف عن الشغل. شي واحد أتمناه هو بطارية أكبر، بس للشغل المكتبي تكفي. الجهاز يحتاج تبريد جيد لما تشغل برامج الهندسة الكبيرة، وأنا أشتري له مروحة خارجية عشان أحافظ عليه. الكيبورد ما تتعب أصابعي والشاشة حادة وواضحة. ما يجي شي يضايق بالشغل المكتبي اليومي. وبشكل عام الجهاز يستاهل ولا فيه مشكلة كبيرة.
