The Precision 5530 is a capable workstation for CAD and photo editing, and it boots fast. My issue is the fan, which gets loud under any real load and is distracting in an office. It also weighs a lot, so I keep it on the desk. Delivery to Sharjah took five days when the listing said two, and no one contacted me about the delay. The box was ok, no dents, but the charger is not original, which I did not expect for a workstation. Support was polite. Three stars because the performance is good but the noise and the delivery need work.

I have used this Precision 5530 workstation for about three months for photo retouching, Photoshop batch exports and some CAD drawings for a small architecture studio in Dubai. Performance is consistent: the processor copes well with large files, and the graphics handle our viewport rotations without stutters. The screen shows colours accurately, which is important when we send proofs to clients. It boots quickly even after a long shutdown.
The unit came in a sturdy box with the power cable and an adapter that looks original, and it arrived in Abu Dhabi without any dents. The keyboard is comfortable for long sessions and the palm rest is not too hot under normal use. The main drawback is the fan, which becomes quite loud under sustained load, so we moved it to a separate room. Battery life is short, and the machine is really designed to sit on a desk and stay plugged in. The weight is noticeable if you carry it.
I would recommend it for studios that need a dependable desktop class machine in a laptop body. Support answered my questions about the warranty within a day. My requests to the seller are a clearer note about fan noise in the listing and a faster delivery window. Four stars from me.

Good performance with CAD and Photoshop, but the fan is loud.
